THEMATIC SCOPE
We invite you to submit proposals for papers and posters in line with the scope of the conference, i.e. fitting in with the following areas:
- Digital transformation in the forestry and wood sector: Industry 4.0, 5.0, AI, and automation
- Sustainable forest management in the face of climate change
- Non-destructive techniques for tree stability and wood quality assessment
- Circular bioeconomy: strategies for wood resource management and waste minimization
- Advanced wood-based materials: nanotechnology, biocomposites, and functional materials
- Conversion of lignocellulosic biomass, bioenergy
- Wood-based products and processes, bio-based adhesives, coatings, fire retardants, etc.
- Furniture and interior design in the framework of the New European Bauhaus: trends, materials, and sustainable production
- Sustainability in forestry and the wood sector: environmental impact assessment, carbon footprint, S-LCA
- Policy and market dynamics in the forest-based sector, wood value chain management
CALL FOR ABSTRACT
Submitted abstract of oral presentation or poster must present original results of basic and applied research on technological, technical, economic and environmental issues essential for science, forestry and wood-based industries and neighbouring fields.
Forms of participation in the conference:
- Oral presentation submission and its presentation following the approval of the Scientific Committee,
- Poster submission and its presentation following the approval of the Scientific Committee,
- Participation in the conference (neither paper nor poster).
Abstract of oral presentation or poster submission can be made by sending the application with the abstract to wse_2025@pit.lukasiewicz.gov.pl
Abstracts should be prepared according to the model document (abstract template) and submitted by July 15, 2025.
Abstracts approved by the Scientific Committee will be published in the conference materials.
PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY IN DREWNO. WOOD
The articles of high scientific quality, prepared based upon conference papers and/or posters can be published in the WOOD. Research papers. Reports. Announcements, following a standard peer-review process.
Drewno. Wood is a peer-reviewed, open-access (OA), international scientific journal with no article processing charges (APC). It publishes original research and review articles in the field of forestry, wood science, wood technology, forest-based products, and circular bioeconomy, and is indexed in several major databases, including Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection (SCIE), and DOAJ.
Articles are published under the CC-BY license, ensuring full visibility and reuse of research.
