ŁUKASIEWICZ RESEARCH NETWORK - POZNAŃ INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology (Łukasiewicz – PIT) is a multidisciplinary R&D organisation operating on the international scale. The Institute was established on January the 1st, 2022, as a merger of five Poznan institutes of established market position, vast scientific achievements and many years of experience in creation of innovation, modern technologies and specialist research services.
At present, Łukasiewicz – PIT conducts a wide range of R&D works in its six Research Centres covering the following areas: wood technology, metal forming, rail vehicles, agricultural and food technologies, logistics and IT technologies. The merger created new development possibilities for the former institutes and broadened their market offer. It also resulted in definition of new interdisciplinary research lines, which, among other things, contributes to obtaining international research grants and foreign business partners to cooperate with in highly innovative projects.

POZNAŃ UNIVERSITY OF LIFE SCIENCES
Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS) is a leading university of agriculture, life sciences and biological sciences in Poland. It may boast of rich traditions, as its beginnings date back to the year 1870. One of the fields of the University’s scientific and research activities is the implementation of various types of projects financed both from domestic and international resources. Nearly 100 projects are implemented each year by scientific, educational and research units of the University. The University is engaged in wide-ranging international scientific and educational cooperation as a part of the EU Seventh Framework Program, Erasmus+, Ceepus, Horizon 2020, Cost, and Tempus.
The Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology is one of 6 faculties of PULS. The Faculty is a leading institution in the field of forestry and wood technology research in Poland and recognizable in Europe. Its research covers a wide range of scientific problems including forest disturbances, close to nature silviculture, forest management challenges, modelling of ecosystem services, circular economy and sustainable wood-based innovations.

INDUSTRY CONTACT POINT DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
The Industry Contact Point Digital Transformation (BPK TC) operates within the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Poznań Institute of Technology, and its role is to support researchers, entrepreneurs and organizations working in the digital transformation industry in obtaining funding for research and development of innovative technologies from Horizon Europe.
The BPK TC focuses primarily on issues related to technology development, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), or automation contributing to process optimization and improvement.
The Point’s activities include the organization of matchmaking, networking or brokering events, as well as training and workshops that foster knowledge exchange and establish cooperation between science and business. The BPK TC promotes the implementation of smart solutions in various sectors of the economy, including logistics, digital agriculture, smart cities and services for citizens and businesses. Through cooperation with international partners, the point supports the development of the Polish digital innovation ecosystem and increases the participation of Polish entities in European research programmes.
